Anybody have experience with deliberate or not-so-deliberate Threadless laundry shrinking? I desperately want this in the guys' color, because the silver/gray is HIDEOUS (I bought it in Emotional Trip, and never again), but I'm a girly small, so even the guys small will be way too big. I'm reconciled to taking in the sides, sleeves, and hem a little - guess I'll be remaking the entire damn shirt *grrr* - but I'm wondering if it might be a good or bad idea to deliberately try to shrink it first in the wash, so the alterations don't have to be too drastic. Any thoughts?

i think the guys' tees might shrink a little in the wash, but not as much as the AA tees... partially because they're a cotton/poly blend

hmm, well, I wear a girly M or L and after sticking a guys' small in the wash and then the dryer a few times it fits okay. You could definitely get partway with that. Maybe you could dry it on high once? On my two guys shirts, that made the paint on the tag crack, but the actual shirts were fine. More than once on high heat is probably not a good idea, though.

Yeah, I've bought kids' sizes before (though not here) and it was ok, but I'm not that into the baby blue for this design - in the picture it looks kind of washed out. I think I definitely prefer the khaki this time :)

No hoodies for me yet, but I'm getting tempted. If the hoodie for this had come in khaki, it would've been my first in a heartbeat.

Oops! Sorry about that double post. The first one didn't show at first for some reason, so I retyped.

Ok, thanks everyone, I think I'll try margolove's suggestion! It's good to know that the ink on the design might not necessarily crack - although of course I also know there are no guarantees ;)

has anybody noticed anything about the small girlie's being longer these days on length? i hope they come out with xsmall sizes, i miss my threadless tees. boo.

i've bought a small hoodie awhile back and didn't like the fit at all. most likely because i'm shorter than most. so i'm guessing if you're average height the small would be fine.

I've noticed that the tees I've gotten recently are actually shorter. I just did a quick compare of Musical Meditation with my first prints of Emotional Trip and Afternoon Delight, and M.M. is about 2 in. shorter than E.T, and maybe slightly more than 1 in. shorter than A.D.

Ive tried to shrink tshirts from here before and it didnt work. Even gave it to my mum to wash and she loves shrinking my clothes by accident. That waasss Black and Green. now I just pin them at the back with safetypins.

I am also a girly small, and I bought Snack a while back in a guy's small, hoping it would shrink. It /did/ shrink, but it is practically unnoticeable. It's going to be huuuuuuuuuuuuge on you unless you alter it.

SQUISHYFISHY: Like I said above, I'm a girly small. I bought Infinity MPG on a hoodie, sized as XS. It's not as square as you'd think and fits pretty nicely (not baggy, but not so tight that I can't wear a shirt underneath). I'd suggest going up a size, though, if you're a medium/a tight small fit.

Ok, I just got paid yesterday, and I've decided to hedge my bets a little by also buying the kids' 12, but that means I'l be returning, or more likely exchanging, one of them. I'm curious, does anyone know what the exchange policy is for a tee bought during a sale? Is it basically tee = tee, or will I be charged the difference in price? I couldn't really find any sale-specific info. on the FAQ. Thanks :)

Yeah, I had curls as a little one (boukla -sp?) and my Dad loved the way it rhymed. It's been my nickname ever since :)
