It seems American Apparel's quality control issues (namely, there is NO control) have bitten me in the ass. My much anticipated "XS" hoodie arrived today, and was waaaay too small. Suspicious, I yanked it back off and measured it. It's the right length, but a full 2 1/4" narrower than it should be. Which makes it a full size smaller than it should be. I'm deeply pissed off, and now I'm not sure if I even want to try for a different XS in the hopes that it was just this one. But if I do, I'll just have to buy that one outright (and fast), rather than exchange, because there are so few left. GRRRRR!

In the meantime, though, since I know how hard it can be for people who wear very small sizes (I used to be one, 'til my metabolism gave me the finger when I turned 30) to find the stuff they like, my misfortune can be someone else's gain. :) I'm going to wait a couple days to return this one in case anyone specifically needs what would be an XXS for themselves, or a kid, or something. It's 16" wide just under the arms, and 24 1/2" long. Let me know! Otherwise, I'm mailing it back to Threadless next week.

You sending it out for free or what? I'll take it.

Haha, um, noooo. But I don't want a profit or anything - just what I paid. Basically, like I said, if anybody definitely needs a smaller than usual hoody, this way at least they know what they're getting.

i would order a small next time, im pretty small but usually the smalls i end up getting in the mail are really xxs compared to other hoodie brands. and after a wash they definitly become xxs.

Yeah, I'm aware of that. But I have another Threadless hoodie, and the size of that one is accurate according to Threadless' size chart - but this one isn't. I'm not comparing the size of this "Star Light..." to another brand, I'm comparing it to other Threadless hoodies.

I'm getting my money back for it either way, I just thought I'd be nice and give someone a chance to get an XXS Threadless-sized one if they need it.

Gotta go, but I'll check back in a couple days before I send it back, or just email me on myspace. :)

(Andrew, not sure sure if you meant you only want it for free, or what. If you do want it let me know.)

I'd definitely get it if i was in U.S. .. alas!

By "It's 26" wide just under the arms" do you mean it is 13" double sides? Or just a typo when you were typing 16"? I checked the sizing chart and it says XS Width 18.25" and minus 2.5" measures something like 16" .. I'm confused! :-/

Oops!! So sorry about that - it's definitely a typo! :D It's 16" across one side. (I'll update that now - thanks for pointing it out.)

Why, where are you?
