is this a reference to Nagasake and Hiroshima? It looks like a reference to the bombings, I like it.

If you try really hard you could say a big sun is like... japan, but not since its yellow and smiling and not red and blank.

ok, i can see the whole idea of a flow on effect being related to bombings

EXCEPT the rain is intended as a good thing for the trees, not for whatever is anti the trees

it is not a bombing reference, its a natural disaster reference

stop trying to be so darn deep

Well, from what I'm getting out of it, the sun is trying to water the trees, but in the process, creates a flood on the houses. Hence the name "Good Intentions". =)

Woah, you're right! Because Japanese people eat sushi, which comes from fish, which comes from the ocean, which becomes rain, which has become a flash flood on this t-shirt!!!!

No I didn't intend it to be a reference to Hiroshima, its more about natural disasters and how nature doesn't ever intend to harm us but bad things happen anyway.

although its a funny point to make given one of my older subs about the destruction of Tokyo.

while I do like this design better, I find it interesting that the above mentioned shirt scored higher than this one and wasn't printed

It's inspired from LocoRoco, a videogame, for a contest. It has to do with the LocoRoco watering and nuturing the world.

EdwardPrescott, would you mind explaining your reference to the bombings? I mean you already got your answer from the designer, but still. The link confuses me.

Though I don't totally agree, I think I understand what EdwardPrescott is trying to say. The bombings were intended to stop the war & reduce the number of deaths to both sides, but mainly the Americans. That is the good intentions part. The result is obvious, much like the result in the picture. The bombs caused countless deaths & brought devastation to the Japanese people.
