it really is a terrible shirt though. as much as i don't want to degrade those who enjoy it i really think it's very badly done and not at all funny.

agreed.....i have seen some pretty bad shirts here to go with the amazing ones (bad in my taste).....this takes the cake

i agree it's truly, terribly awful and i would never buy/wear it.

but it's gotten threadless a lot of publicity and a nice chunk of a bizarre internet-culture phenomenon (every time goatse comes up in conversation: "and you know there's a SHIRT, too, right??" etc). not to mention someone basically creates this same damn blog every week or so in response to the design.



so, good taste aside, from a business perspective... genius on their part? perhaps.

oddly enough....I have never been involved in a conversation about goatse outside of threadless and I'd kind of like to keep it that way
