Here's my latest idea- Elmer fudd has finally hunted down that wascally wabbit and all his looney fwiends.

*UPDATE*

Final colours probably - but not sure if it'll get past copyright

Wevenge

*UPDATE*

New sketch with a bunch of characters. I'm tempted to go nuts and keep adding more minor characters like the Goofy Gophers, the Dodo bird , Sam Sheepdog, Michigan J Frog, the Backyard Dog (from Foghorn Leghorn), but I quite like the composition at present and i'm not sure if people will know the others. I have Beaky Buzzard already who i'd consider minor. Perhaps I just know Looney Tunes too well?

Wevenge WIP

But i'm just not sure if it's been done already or not
Idea
At the moment it's just a quick sketch to get it out of my head, so i'll rework it if you reckon it's worth doing.

I don't think I've seen the idea done, not with Looney tune characters at least. Go for it, I'm sure you will make it awesome.

I had this exact idea back in February or so, and had a person who agreed to collab backed out after around a month. Happened with two different people about a month apart, and then robingobz I think (can't remember his exact username) came out with a similar design with all the fairy tale creatures--on a red shirt, does anyone remember?--and I decided to stop pursuing it because a similar concept had been done and too many people backed out.

It's always frustrating when I have an idea but can't find anyone who wants to collab, then someone else has the same idea later, it's like, "Man! I wish I would have emailed him a couple months ago!"

this is cool!!! it reminds me of rodrigobz tee, but it's not the same at all finally, so go for it!

Thanks guys, just found Rodrigo's design. Hadn't seen that one. I think I could still probably do this one. The hunter in his strange trophy room isn't necessarily an original one, but it might still make for a fun tee.

Go for it dude, it's an awesome idea!

Mine will not print anyway and yours has a LOT of potential! :)

i've never seen that done. i love the idea. careful not to make them too recognisable.

one way to keep them from being recognizable is to not label them like you have

I mean come on

Lulz. But yeah I know when Johnny Cupcakes did a Looney Tunes collab thing they were very picky about the details and copyright, so I'd watch out on that.

Oh man, that's my favourite part of the design! I was thinking of writing other stuff too- like 'Chair' over the chair, and 'table' over the table.

Thanks Bradley, some good ideas there. Also, i'd totally forgotten about Beaky Buzzard!

I'm going to try the same style as my This Game Sucks design, hopefully it'll be enough to avoid copyright.

Not sure how I should do the birds- should I mount their heads like I have with bugs etc in the sketch, or should I have them with their full bodies?
WanderingBert
   WanderingBert on Sep 21 '11 at 9:05pm
I'm tempted to have everybodys heads mounted on a wall, rather than have some full bodied, or in rug format. Still not too sure though.
Haragos

might be interesting to have them look like real animals?
WanderingBert
   WanderingBert on Sep 21 '11 at 10:41pm
New sketch!

For this one i've gone with all wall mounted heads, which I quite like.

I'm contemplating adding in more minor characters, but not sure if it will add clutter and confusion to people who don't know Looney Tunes as well as I do.

Let me know your thoughts...

put marvin the martian as one as it will be out of place but funny
WanderingBert
   WanderingBert on Sep 21 '11 at 11:24pm
Yeah, i thought about that but decided to stick with animals. If enough people wanted him there i'd do it though.

You could add a nightstand with just his helmet on it.

I'd still watch out for copyright stuff though...

Put up the final design, but i'm hoping it'll get past copyright issues.
WanderingBert
   WanderingBert on Sep 22 '11 at 9:21pm
thanks :)

except the more I look at it the more I think it'll be rejected. Might sub it and in the mean time figure out a way to get around it.
Adhesive Hippo
Adhesive Hippo on Sep 22 '11 at 9:23pm
I would just draw them as real animals and they should get the joke from Elmer's hat.
WanderingBert
   WanderingBert on Sep 22 '11 at 9:26pm
Yeah, that's what i'm thinking might have to be the way. Or at least keep the cartoony style but change the general shape of each- because I think that's where the main problem is.
Caddywompus
Caddywompus on Sep 22 '11 at 11:27pm
Maybe put a fire place in there and have the light from the fire cast a dark shadow over all the faces. That way most of the identification can be made with the shape of the silhouette. Then you could draw them in a completely different style if you wanted.

Also I like the idea of a rug on the floor (maybe Taz) and someone stuffed on a stand. Maybe something ridiculous like someone made into a lamp.

In any case it looks good and I think the colors work well, but I would add something that's not on the wall to add a little diversity.
