make it 8 colors. rover needs a bright red collar.

that little bit of red will make the dog stand out.

i think you should leave the background empty.

this pretty much works as is.

with so much detail going on right now, any other added elements will just create confusion and clutter, pulling away from the important parts of the illustration.

and im with ellsswhere, a tad more contrast (perhaps making the bone outline a bit darker at least) would help this

despite all that, its a great idea and looks good

V3 Added using different shirt colour and only 6 colours now.

Ellsswhere- contrasted enough? I tried more, but found the busyness of the outline too overpowering.

Awe-inspiring my man.

the only thing i could think of adding is one or two scattered dog toys on the ground in front of the bone mansion, just to contrast the simplicity of dog life with the complexity of Rover's bone mansion? Perhaps a red or tennis ball, and maybe a chew toy or leash lying around? Other than that, it's perfect.

now i think, and now that you have simplified a tad i think you could use those 2 extra colors as spot colors if you want for a small chew toy like frick suggested, maybe like a frisbee or sumthin on the roof... with that puzzled how the hell do i get that look on his face
either way this looks great as is

Thanks for all the help - It's really improved with the input. I'll be addding a few toys and such then i'll sub.

The frisbee on the roof is a pretty cool idea.
