seattle!

hi guys
i'm going on a 4 day trip to seattle in a week and i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions about cool stuff to do?

hahaha well unfortunately my parents are taking me so i don't think they'd enjoy that museum too much...

well i'd love to hear about any cool shopping, or music venues, or cool parks, or really anything. i have no idea what to expect

Avoid the EMP at all costs.

Tourists love Pike Place Market- you can do a haunted tour or buy cool things and watch fish being thrown. Don't feed the hippies.

You can probably catch the Dark Knight at the IMAX since daytime weekday shows are not sold out.

Friday nights there are free movies near the Space Needle (this friday at midnight is Rocky Horror Picture Show!)

yeah... get out Seattle Center (duh?) where they keep the Space Needle =p

Golden Gardens (Ballard)

The UW Campus is kinda pretty I guess... (the U District itself kinda blows however.)

shopping wise y'all might as well head on down to University Village i suppose.

I really like Gasworks park down in Fremont and I like Ballard in General kinda

I like it down by the water (Pike Place) and the piers in general

For shopping, go to Pacific Place or Univeristy Village in the U-Distric, near UW, for mall-type shopping

For boutiques, Ballard, Fremont & downtown are all awesome

For musics, depends on what kind of music you like, there's lots of small venues & some good Jazz houses, etc.

There are parks EVERYWHERE - you may want to check oout Carey park for an amazing view of the city and the Seattle Art Museum has a neat outdoor sculpture park

There's always Pike Place Market, too

Hmmm, I'll see if I can think of other things, too

oh oh MY Favorite The Ballard Locks

you can see all kinda neat boats and sometimes fish and whatnot coming thru the fish ladders

excellent I will blog about it when I have more to the dates/details worked out.

my trips up there tend to be a whirlwind of hecticness however cause I have a shit ton of friends and relations to meet up with and business stuff to attend to... but I'm sure something can be figured out I would hope.
