Buying a girly XL in place of Guys M, I'm a guy

So because I love American Apparel, and rather dislike Fruit of the Loom, I'm wondering if its possible to buy a girly XL in place of a guys medium.

Has anyone ever tried this? Does the fit/sizing work well enough for a guy?

I already bought one to test it out, but if others have tried this and it actually works, I'll buy some more (I want to do it before the sale ends).

the arms will just be shorter, but i've heard that some guys that wear M buy a girl's XL.

i wear a guy's S and a girl's L.

I've done it before in order to get my ahnds on a good design. Just wear it with an open hoody or collared shirt to hide the odd sleeve-cut.

Bah, I completely forgot about the sleeves :( That's probably going to kill it, as I don't like wearing things over t-shirts.

i am doing exactly what you are doing.. i made my purchase at around noon time.. and had it shipped the fastest possible way.. but it hasn't even been shipped yet.. i just hope it arrives before or on Saturday.. to find out if its going to work out that way...

I've ordered an Large AA girls shirt from another website before (i normally wear a mens medium), and when i got it i found the sleeves were a bit short; and i think the neck line is cut slightly different. However i think it depends on your body shape and build, since it looked a bit odd on me but it looked perfectly fine on my brother.

i got it dude!... although i ordered Decay and they sent me Descent... i am going to send it back ... but the fit is great.. not too long and not short.. the sleeves are a bit shorter.. but no big deal.. i way about 170 lbs. and have broad shoulders.. you look a little slender so this should fit you perfectly.. i am going to order Girly XL from now on... any questions feel free to post here

ack, I usually order guy's m. because that's a safe bet, but in order to get some of the designs I wanted I had to get girly sizes and I thought a large would be good enough but now I don't know

aaahhhhhhh. I guess I'll find out in 2 weeks (or whenever I get my stuff)

honestly Girly XL fits me perfectly.. the sleeves are a bit shorter than what i am used to but its great.. i just won't put them in the dryer or it will shrink..

take a look at the last batch of my product pics. That's my brother sporting my girly XLs... he typically wears a M or L in guys tees... to give you an idea.

i wear a guys M or S and girly XL is right in the middle. just be sure not to put it in the dryer or it will shrink.
