HEY GUYS
Most exciting day ever, seriously. I was printed for the first time today over at TeeFury. You should check it out, since it was my highest scoring tee on threadless! ![]()
So my new version of this scored like shit, which made me want to continue to attempt remaking the original. I managed to grab the girl I used off of my old broken digital camera, thank god, but there are seventy bajillion tree pictures in the world so naturally I can't find the original one I used, so I've been trying brushes. This it how it looks so far, new on top and original on bottom:
![]() Does it look crappy? Should I leave it as-is? I'm really frustrated with it.
Found it here.

UP FOR SCORING! At this beginning of this past school year, my hard drive died, taking almost all of my threadless subs with it. I was particularly sad about losing my highest scoring design, because I've had two other websites offer to print it since. FML. I tried to recreate the sub but it just didn't come out entirely right. That's when I decided to just do something with the same concept in a different way. Here's the result: ![]() Old version:
'sup guys! I have a radio show on my college's radio station, WOZQ!
My show is going to be focused around some bitchin' cool electric tunes. I'm trying to steer away from just plain dance/techno music and will be playing a lot of trip hop/synthpop/chiptunes/trance/etc. I have my first show next Wednesday, 10am-12pm. Two hours is a long time, and I don't know if I have enough music right now to do two hours for the rest of the semester, so I'm calling out for help -- do you guys have anything I should play? Any bands/groups I should check out? To tune into my show, livestream us here: http://131.229.129.144:8000/listen

It's long, I know, but people keep saying that threadless uses starving Guatemalan children to make their shirts and I want to tell them to shut the fuck up, since they're obviously pulling shit out of their ass. Any suggestions?
I've been interning at a web-oriented graphic design company for a few weeks and my boss told me he was going to hire me, which is AWESOME. He wants everyone who works for him to have a web portfolio, which makes a lot of sense, so now I need to come up with a url for mine.
Thing is: my last name is "Choyce." That's a last name just screaming to be punned. I can only think of super lame ideas like "choycedesigns.com." Anyone have any clever suggestions?
Hey, I'm thinking about getting a batch of this printed myself:
![]() But I've lost my high-res files... Does anyone know any way to get a high-res version of it? I'm thinking of live tracing it in illustrator, but I need it to keep all of the details and still be under 6 colors. (It was originally done in illustrator/photoshop with just three anyway, so...) Anyone have any tips? This is reeaally important. Thanks!
I've been giving out a lot of fours lately. It's taken a lot for a sub to wow me enough to $5 it recently. So, out of the ones in the running now that I've scored, here are the subs I've $5'd. Feel free to post up the ones you think everyone should $5.
![]() ![]() There's no way you can get away with not $5ing that. |
