I'm looking for a pen tablet, I just don't know which one to buy. Does anyone have any experience with any of the Wacom pads?

Get a wacom. They're the best. If you're short of dollar, get a Wacom Graphire. Best value for money and I do all my dirty work with one of those.

Well, if you are an professional graphic artist it's a good idea to get a good tablet.

Wacom only produces A++ graphic tablets - they (allmost) are of high quality, have much really needed features and are good to go.

If you can afford the money, an Intuos 1/2 or 3 is your way to go - it's the second best tablet they produce (well a Cintiq might even be better but only if you can afford ~$2400...).

It has customizable keys on each side a pen and a wireless 5-button-mouse which doesn't need batterys at all and it's buttons are ofc customizable too.

You can make different settings for different software (i.e. put TAB on one key in Photoshop and put ALT and + in Painter on the same key).

It's sensitivity, angle support is really top notch and it is allmost like you are working with an real pen - just "superb'", in one word :).

Also if you want to draw with an high quality - you need at least an 9x12 board (an intuos3 9x12 is about $449.95 on the offical wacom page - but you should get it for arround $390-400 in other shops), otherwise your work is a bit cropped and it's a pain in the ass to do resizing, scrolling and so on every time (not to mention the loss of details).

Long speak, short sense:

If you can afford it and want to draw with an high quality - buy an Intuos3 9x12 tablet for arround ~$400.
(an option would be to buy an used intuos1 9x12 on ebay)

Otherwise if you only want to rebrush, do photo-editing and so on or do travel much you should stick with an 6x8 intuos for arround ~$270-280.

And if you are really short of money I think it is worth to save some money for an intuos later on and not for an graphire!

You WILL notice the difference!

i got a wacom graphire, but with my curent pc, i'm not so confy with it for doiing simple things, it seems better for airbrush/painting kinda stuff.
i'm geting a new, faster pc soon, so i can test the real piossibilitie of my tablet.
a good one anyway.
