Darn! I might still buy it, but this is one of the Decemberists designs I was feeling the least. :( Is there any chance any of the other designs might get released as regular or 12 Club shirts?

there were a lot of great subs for that contest, so its only a matter of time, but i'm sure more will get printed.

lol. Only one time in the history of all the contests did one of them win with what i feel to be even remotely close to the best submission, yet it was for by far my least favorite contest ever (The Scr-Emo from that friggin' Emo Kid contest..blah three times over). While i think this is a nice design, this is not by far an away one of my favorites from the contest. But like pinup artist said, I'm sure many MANY more of the designs from this contest shall follow. Cant wait!

This one just seemed like a rip off of all the designs that the Decemberists already use. The couple standing together looks just like the art on "The Crane Wife" album cover. I though that there were many other designs that still had a Decembersit feel, but were still really creative and unique. Oh well...

awe.. i loved so many of the beautiful Decemberist subs.. and this one's okay. but i dont think it should be the winner. i love the Decemberists still though. one of my favorite bands.. :-)

knowing this artist, and knowing that he's been loving the Decemberists since 'Castaways and Cutouts' i'm VERY proud of his work and very happy for him.... just thinking we heard of these guys when they were playing free shows at Grinnell College and now they're headlining world tours and playing on Conan (

slaterock was, by far, the most deserving artist to win this competition. I'm glad one of his designs won... you might think there were other, better ones, but his style and drive beat out the competition. Obviously, The Decemberists think so too since this is the winning design.

Wow. I dunno, I guess I went into the design really thinking about the album, and perhaps I maybe catered to the tastes of the band, but it was a competition, was it not? I'm glad people like it, and with that, I realize that there's people who don't like it. Thanks to everyone, either way.
