So here's the deal: I live in New Mexico, and on numerous occasions people (in other states) have approached me and compemented me on my english speaking abilities or asked me what it's like living in a foreign country.
So i was wondering if there were any misconceptions about your state/country.

I'll start:

New Mexico is a state (in between texas and arizona)
Everybody speaks English.
We do not live with Indians.
We have running water, electricity, etc.
It is not hot all the time (there is a foot of snow on the ground right now).
"Albuquerque": this is the correct spelling
green chile is not a jalapeno or green bell peppers.
