Have you ever wanted to travel somewhere, but couldn’t because of a language barrier? Well now you can with the first ever International Translation shirt! All you do is simply point to what you need, and PRESTO you’re on your way! Example you need to go to the restroom really bad, but you don’t know the word for restroom, so you just point to the toilet on your shirt and someone will direct you! Other uses could be for when your sick and can't talk, you could give the silent treatment to someone your upset with, or you could just have fun and see if you can get what you need without saying a word. It's not just aesthetic, but it's functional and playful. Thanks for all your votes!

What does the leaf with a bite of it mean? and why would you only need a slide, and not a swing set?

I think bitten leaf means vegetarian. We practiced a lot with this shirt. Very VERY handy. :)

I think I should buy this for my upcoming trip to France/Italy, I'm pretty crap when it comes to languages so this could save me a lot of confusion

Hah, this explaination definitely sold the shirt for me. I think I will get it for a friend when she's off backpacking.

Simply briljant. I've seen books with this idea, but transfering it to a tee is simply briljant

I think this is a very inovative design! I can think of a multitude of uses...what about foreign exchange students, the upcoming summer olympics, or even language barriers right here in the U.S.? BRILLIANT!!! I purchased several for my family!

Thanks for all your kind comments! I'm sure there will always be something I'm missing, unfortunately it wasn't brought up in my critique. Also I have never traveled outside United States, so I'm kind of ignorant to all of the foreign currencies. Hopefully someday I will be able to step outside the country, and give it a real try! ?

Every time you put on this shirt, pretend like you’re a tourist. No matter where you are, practice makes perfect!!

I dont vote that often anymore, but this is a great shirt, and im glad it was printed. Congratulations on a print of just your second design, which happens to be one of the most creative prints- here- yet.

so, if you're a chick, what happens when you point to the $ and they think you want them to touch your boob.
empiricist
   empiricist on Sep 23 '07 at 7:45pm
I don't think that would be the case, unless your really exaggerating the motion of pointing to the $. I guess it really depends on the person you ask, the environment your in, and how you go about asking it.

I'm heading to Turkey this winter with a friend who grew up in Istanbul and speaks English and Turkish fluently.

She's not going to be around for the entire month, so it's a good thing I bought this shirt.

This shirt is pure genius. Practical, and I think it looks good too.
jenraskopf
jenraskopf on Oct 12 '07 at 11:54pm
Hahaha... I think the fatal flaw and also subtle genius of this shirt is that if you are looking for a hotel room (to pay for a bed) you have to point to both your boobs. Suggestive action and could be confused for saying you're a prostitute.
