So the blogs are dead, but I have and interview for a promotion/transfer tomorrow so I was hoping to come here and get some much needed distraction so i don't spend the next 12 hours freaking out.

Last night, the wifey stopped at the post office on her way home and she walked in with this super neat package.



I was extra excited about the international return address and all the care that was taken in wrapping. When she handed it to me I did a bit of a school girl giggle.

Everything inside was neatly wrapped, heightening my excitement.



When I pulled the first layer off, it relieved Hanukkah Gelt!!!! Not sure if Carl knew I am jewish, but it was cool to see either way.



Under the bottom layer was a note with strict instructions.



I follow rules so I started opening the packages. I grabbed a tiny one first. I opened it and though, "sweet and hand sewn wedge of cheese, but why does it have this little button on it."



Then I open a bigger one it was this bad ass sock monkey... I was all, "OMG,so cute!!"



Next, then I looked at his left hand, and i totally geeked out!! It was the other half of the button!!!!!! Since he is from the Netherlands, I've decided to name him after two Dutch cheeses. His name is Gouda Van Parrano.



Next I open some of the medium size gifts. It was cheese!!! Straight from Holland!!!! A few different genres of goat, I'm looking forward to breaking into these bad boys over the holidays.



The last two small packages had these cool dutch cheese tools. The wifey's industrial design nerd sensors went off on these.



The last larger package was full of mid 90s comics, all of which took me back to my days as kid helping my dad out in his comic shop. (especially digging the Valiant and Image books)
