i used to pick Dupli Colours spray cans when i used to do graffiti painting, but it was more than 10 yrs ago and that was the best choice, i think right now you can find higher Q sprays at cheaper price. Dupli was around 10/12$ per can in 1991

btw, to fight rain, you just need to spray over the whole piece one of those waterproof transparent paints they use on boats... ;)

It would be best to find out what wearecareful uses. He does all the wall graphics in threadless HQ and he uses paint markers.

I do mostly interior murals but have done a couple of things outside. I also paint on canvas deck shoes and wear them in the summer until the canvas falls a part. The paint I use on the shoes, interior walls and other projects is all the same. I use Delta Ceramcoat. It is a smooth acrylic base paint. It will stick to any surface and will not wear from rain. The two large projects I did for outside were on a metal surface so I sanded primed with rustoleum and used rustoleum spray in color on some areas. The acrylic went over this with no problem. I know this is not the best high end product but it worked and saved a lot of money. I do not know what is most recommended but I had to do the side of an OLD camper for family and an OLD recycle truck for a friend so I used what had worked for me on everything else since I could not get good answers. When I finished the truck, camper ; as well as when I finish a pair of shoes I always spray them HEAVILY with a clear coat of acrylic with uv protectant.

What I have learned from using these paints is that for the most part it is best not to use anything less than the Delta brand. Most lesser brands tend to drop the pigment from suspension or clot. Neon colors will Not WORK as even with a spray of uv clear they will fad and fast. Most other colors seem to do fine as the camper lives outside at the beach and it still has colorful fish swimming on each side after 8 years. The garbage truck is retired I think but It was still bright while it ran for 4 years until the owner bought brand new trucks.
