Why did I buy this?

about Holding Pattern

It's very strange. Seeing the design by itself, I probably wouldn't have rated it very highly, or planned to buy it. But seeing it on a long sleeve shirt in that wonderful deep-red color, it became a must-have. The color really does make a difference!

Don't get me wrong, it's a nice drawing, but not the type of design I usually go for. Normally I go for the whimsical humor sort of thing, not just the interesting drawing thing. The colors are what did it.

Actually, it might have something to do with it -- because we both have similar shoulder-length brown hair, so it kind of makes it easier to visualize the shirt on me. But no, it was the color.

I realized when I got the shirt that I already have several shirts in this color or one quite similar. Apparently I am predictable.

Though her figure is nothing like mine... and now there's only one XL left so it'll probably be gone by the time I get it, meaning I won't be able to exchange if the L is too small...

The XL is what I have in the long sleeves, and it runs larger than the AA short sleeve shirts, so if you normally wear XL in the AA's the L might fit for this. I can't say for sure, but I think I could have gone down a size. I kind of like this one slightly looser so I don't mind the XL as it is.

I have A Voyage of Discovery in XL, which fits loosely but flatteringly (unlike the AA XLs, which are not flattering in the slightest)... My theory was that I should get Holding Pattern in L because dark colours generally look better when more fitted, but now I'm worried that if it's too fitted I won't want to wear it at all in the summer...

Well, one advantage is that the sleeves might fit. :) The one problem with the XL is that the sleeves are really too long on me. I might shorten them.

Oh, yeah. The sleeves are insane. But I quite like being able to hide my hands under them.

Aw man, I was seriously considering getting the long-sleeved tee...but it's out in Girly L.

I've found I had to go a size up in the long-sleeves for torso length... I usually wear a Girly M.
