Why are threadless select t-shirts allowed to have more than 4 colors? Is that part of the reason they cost so much more? I was just wondering because I was looking through them and saw the Mama's Boy shirt which has, like, 8 different colors so I was wondering what was up with that.

because if they are going to get a designer with better things to do to make a threadless tee, they don't want to tell them how many colors they get to use.

Yea I always wondered that too. It's like they give you rules to follow and then they let people break them......well I guess rules are made to be broken. I'm thinking about making a design with more than four colors, submitting it, and then just see what happens.

Select shirts are free of rules. Designer has control over absolutely everything that is physically possible to put on a shirt.

select designers have already been printed a minimum of(I thinkits four) times. Its invite only todo aselect tee so they get morecolours and dont have togo through the voting process.More colours mean the cost more toprint.
