I Need Your Laptop Expertise

I have a newish HD camcorder and I would like to do some editing, but I don't have the space on my PC. I have considered buying a laptop with the primary purpose of video editing and other graphic type things. My brother refused to give his opinion and said I had to find out for myself. Psh.

What's your opinion? What kind of laptop do you think would best suit my needs?
