In L.A tomorrow... what should I do?

I've been before, and am going with my friend.. Mainly to shop and what not, but anything else we should do? Any good art exhibits currently around? Also, any specific places I might like shopping?

if you really want to check out a museum, i recommend the car museum. it's across the street from the labrea tar pits and the lacma. both of which i find to be only so-so.
