DEAD SLOGAN SOCIETY!!!
So we all have that one slogan that we wish did better. That ONE slogan that we liked, but just went in the tank... This is were we can work together, to improve that slogan, dig it out of the grave, and place it right back on the mantle where it belongs... Post these Slogans in here in bold We will work together to help edit, slightly change, and come up with a better slogan as a team.

Anyone is invited to help out with rephrasing or repairing slogans. I won't be able to do it all myself!

how about "sleeping without dreams is as boring as Nebraska."

haha I dunno, try to make non-REM sound really really boring, via comparison and over exaggeration.

My family is from Nebraska. I take umbrage with that, son.

Time to make use of this!

5 out of 5 yes-men agree

That's a good one krokum. I'm surprised it only has 38%

Thanks! Me too, but as larlar said once, it needs a little something extra.

Possibly, "5 out of 5 yes men agree with everything I say"

In real life people drown if you run in slow motion

I guess it is a little outdated, but I thought it would still be good for some laughs

Starry nights are my Dot-to-dot.

Way to destroy my superhero dreams with my arch
enemy; Logic.

Still crush about the starry night one, any ideas to unlock its full potential?
martiandrivein
martiandrivein on Dec 09 '08 at 11:06pm
hmmm. How about flipping the concept?

"My dot-to-dots always end up looking like constellations"
or something like... insinuating that the wearer does dot-to-dots wrong is funny, because it's so elementary.

I don't quite understand the second one, fully.
rossmat8
rossmat8 on Dec 09 '08 at 11:45pm
What about starry nights are like highlights for astronomers
or who needs connect the dots when you got constellations

The second one is saying logic is his arch enemy I get it I just don't know how to fix it.
Retroludo
Retroludo on Dec 10 '08 at 6:28am
Hmm okay cool these are excellent to think on. Tis good to get another perspective for the constellation one. I'll keep working on the logic one too, there's a slogan in there somewhere.
Simpletinrobot
Simpletinrobot on Dec 10 '08 at 11:37am
"Starry nights are my Dot-to-dot."

One of the problems with that one I think is a lot of people call it Connect-the-dots and not dot-to-dot.

sarcasm has been done to death so hard to come up with a new one, yours isn't bad I just can't help you on that one. On the first one give me some time I'll get back to you.

Oh this blog is awesome, I have a few that could be doing better:

Let's Shake Hands & Pretend We Know Each Other

I'm one fifth of an awesome Air Band.

The Sparrow comes at midnight. Also, I'm a spy.

I like to touché myself

I could rule the world, but I have a problem with authority.

And my all time favourite that I refuse to take down...

(cue tumbleweed)

So like the LOLCATS say... Halp?

Krimson
Krimson on Dec 17 '08 at 12:28am
Not at all sure why the Spy one isn't doing well, i just went and voted for it now, cause it is awesome. Perhaps make the first part more obvious spy-speak? It has the possibility of awesomness.
Krimson
Krimson on Dec 17 '08 at 12:31am
I have the world's most severe exaggeration problem is another one of mine that is doing ok (40% ish) but not spectacular. any suggestions?
Steelplate

Hrmm, how would I make it "more spy-speak"?

I'm not a Spy... I want this printed so I can be one :P
rossmat8
rossmat8 on Dec 17 '08 at 12:33am
what about: the only thing more suave than me is a T-Rex in a chinese finger trap

maybe not make it obvious just make it obscure: The sparrow comes at midnight I repeat the sparrow comes at midnight

rossmat8

thanks I need all the votes I can get. I suggest a lot of things that even I don't like, but my roman numerals and narcolepsy are actually shirts I would wear.

I have a healthy relationship with my doctor

what if you said: My doctor and I maintain a healthy relationship
or possibly: My relationship with my doctor is off the charts
one more: My relationship with my doctor is healthier without him checking up on me
