WTF Internship = awesome! *EDIT*!

Ok so a few days back I had this blog about some random internship I might have where I'd be like the creative director/consultant for this place that I STILL don't know exactly what they do, even after the interview.

But I do know this... whatever they do now has nothing to do with the job I'll have. They're building a whole new wing for creative functioning. I'll be kinda tutoring the head boss lady in getting more acquainted with illustrator and photoshop, as well as helping out with the large format printing they plan on doing. Also they've converted a printer into something that will print on everything from golf balls to t-shirts. Sound awesome.

EDIT
So I got the offer, all I need to do is pass the criminal background check. haha. And it pays 2x's anything I've made in the past... I'm going to actually have money. WTF?

nice one rolf! kind of sounds like when i interned last year for my (current) job. my company had never had a designated art person before, so i was their guinea pig. places quickly realize how necessary those kind of people are!

Mate, thats pretty much the most impressive internship I've ever heard of, I mean the equivilant for me would be my employer saying we've just set up a film company we want you to run it and direct our first film.

Even if you dont do well at this it will look good on your resume.

Dont get me wrong, I have every confidence you'll do really well at it just making a point, I mean if it doesnt directly lead to a job it'll help you get others.

that actually sounds pretty fucking painful from what you've told me.

They aren't prepared to pay/recognise you properly by making you an intern, and yet they want you to

a) be involved in the planning and direction of their printing resources

b) teach someone, with probably no natural design skill what so ever, how to make you redundant.

@ at bananaphone, it is a paid intern position. something like 12$ an hour and gas is paid for.
