I just returned from seeing this truly amazing movie, and I must say that it is one of the greatest films I have seen in quite some time. It was shot on a very low budget and real musicians were used rather than actors, however Once trumps almost every high budget film I have seen in the past few years. I fell in love with the two main characters the minute they appeared on screen, and the entire movie was just a wonderful experience.

I highly recommend that if this film is playing in your city, that you go see it immediately. If not, go out and buy the soundtrack to the movie which is equally as amazing.

You would probably have luck checking out local arthouse theaters, as that is where it is most likely going to be playing. It's a small Irish film, so I don't think they have large distribution outside of Ireland.

Also, to those who may know of the Irish group The Frames, the main character in this film is Glen Hansard from that group.

I've heard this film was fantastic.

Is it a musical?

It's not so much a traditional musical, but yes, I'd classify it as a musical.

Radio, I just found out about the film a month or so ago, and have been anticipating seeing it since then.

I won't mention whether or not there is a sex scene, as I don't want to spoil it for those that haven't seen it.

is that guyin the movie the one who played the guy who was addicted to painkillers in scrubs, and convinced elliot to give him some pills, then perry told elliott not to give them to him, then in the big reveal we learn that dr.cox was the first person to prescribe the guy pills?

Pooner, I have no idea what you just asked.... but no... The guy in the movie is from the Irish band the Frames.

I'll make sure to look out for this film even if I live in a small town where nothing but the mainstream stuff comes... Thanks!

Bumpin' because I finally got the soundtrack in the mail last night and it has become one of my favorite cds over night.

Also, it seems that the movie has been doing very well over here in the states, and that it might even get wider distribution.

The butterscotch stallion is indeed a shirt. I didn't design it though. It's actually a shirt of Owen Wilson that they sell on some site. His nickname is the butterscotch stallion, which is ridiculous. Haha, I have no idea why its in my profile.

I have the worst game ever towards girls, if I mutter a word i come off as a child molester, if I walk away without talking to them they still whisper "oh my god is that child molester?"
