the first thing I thought of when I saw this design
about No Angel
was X-men 3, and "Angel" who cuts off his wings so his dad won't know he's a mutant... anyway, I like this design simply because it's so well illustrated. But I don't think I'd ever wear it, it's concept and imagery is a bit too dark for me.

I thought of X3 too, since Dogma is a crap movie and I have forced all memories of it from my mind.

The iconography of an angel cutting off or otherwise losing its wings has been repeated many, many times in art and literature. I thought this design was beautiful and the connection to X3 didn't even come to mind until I saw multiple comments on it.



Also, say what you will about Dogma, but X3 was a terrible movie. It's a shame, too, since I wanted to like it so badly. :(

I have never seen X3, so I can't really have any input regarding that. But when I first saw this design, I was partially shocked at the lovely detail put into the illustration, as well as how much it creeped/disturbed me. It's a really nice concept and design, but I would never wear it.
