there should be vector tools in your Photoshop Tools Palette... look for the Pen Tool, Rectange Tool, Select and Direct Select Tool...

they are all right there.

thanks.. but when u create a shape you have to fill it in and can give it a stroke thinkness colour.. but you then can't alter it from then

I'm not sure what you're saying with stroke thickness color...but if you use the pen tool or some tool like that you can create a vector (painstakingly) and edit it the the arrow anchor tool thingy.

If you draw a vector shape with the pen tool and want to come back to it later, look at the "paths" pallette.

i've been using AI for a couple of days now for the very first time and it was awesome! i am a photoshop kinda guy but the stuff you can do on AI is shweet!

ppl that use Phtoshp only (i think) are adam antium and travis76 to name a couple and they produce really good wrk and i mean rly!

if you want to make an editable stroked shape in photoshop before you make your path click the 'shape layer' button... this is so instead of making a path that you will have to select & fill onto a layer you are creating a vector shape layer which will be easier to edit. Then double click the layer & use the layer effect 'stroke', you can specify colour thickness etc etc... & edit the shape using the direct selction & other path tools.

mezo.. the sign program is signlab or flexi sign.. basically the same package, its vector based and you can alter shadows outlines to exactly how you want.. it's awesome. but only sign makers have it :p
