In a way I wish they did voice their homophobia more, instead of hiding it and feeling persecuted for it. If they were more open and vocal about it, it would be easier to shoot them down and show up their "arguments" for what they really are: irrational fear and knee-jerk hatred of those different from them.

Haha, The Look. I love it.

From my experience, most homophobes either have never known a gay person, or have known one, and had a bad experience that they've used to judge all gay people.

Like a friend of my father's worked with a gay man once, who developed a crush on him, and threatened to kill his girlfriend. And since then, he's hated gay people. Dear me.

That ain't good. But I've known far more scary, obsessive, possessive straight men with crushes.

Who hasn't heard stories about guys stalking their exes or being rejected for whatever reason and they calling all the time or turning up at people's houses?

Why can't we all see that people in general are FREAKS?

Exactly. Right, I'm off to bed. Have fun!

hmmm, i have to say i was a little "homophobic" in my high school days. not that i WAS but more that my friend was and i pretended to be around her, or else i got a lecture on why being gay was wrong.

and all my friends from school i still talk to turned out to be gay :)

as i see it, if you're happy then do it (unless its murder, or pedaphiles, or something icky like that o.0)

its hard to be homophobic when you have 40 guys that have to take a shower in 20 or 30 minutes using 2 showers

Surely something like that would exacerbate homophobia? I know going to an all-girls school meant people were very paranoid about lesbians in the changing rooms, haha.

And... your final sentence is utterly bizarre.

"its hard to be homophobic when you have 40 guys that have to take a shower in 20 or 30 minutes using 2 showers"

This sentence doesn't really make any sense. Homophobia isn't about hating or fearing other men, or about being unsure in your sexuality, or being uncomfortable with male bodies and nudity. It's about hating and/or fearing gay people because of their sexuality.

there might be some homophobic people there

but when theres a bunch of naked guys standing right next to each other waiting for the shower you better not be afraid of penai

But that's not what homophobia is. Like I said, it's not a discomfort or fear or distaste of other men, or male nudity.

It's the hatred and fear of people who are sexually and emotionally attracted to people of the same sex.

Like Elton John said, he has never got as much cock when he did the entertainment weekend at National Guard.

You can buy the shirt. If you like it enough to have it then you can wear it at some stage. Just not necessarily when around and socialising with work/military crew. Discretion isn't the same as giving in. It makes sense to play by their rules. You are new and are just sorting stuff out.

Must admit. Shocked by the official wording about not openly support homosexuality. Archaic. *snort*
