Barium Swallow?
Hello everyone,
I am supposed to do something called a "barium swallow" tomorrow at the doctors, to my knowledge i have to drink barium, then have x-rays taken of my stomach. And i was curious to know if any of you have done this, or know any body that has. If so, please fill me in on how this thing feels, tastes..etc..a bit of a random question. Thanks

I've never had it done, but my dad does stuff like that... not that it's any comfort of course. Anyway, hopefully that site above will be of some help. :)

ugh, it's pretty gross and chalky...







the last time i did it i got to pick between cherry or orange flavored, as i remember you have to drink it fast, and it helps if it's been chilled before hand...

yeah, thats what i been reading..."its really chalky".....however i didnt know i could have i flavored, but even so, i couldnt imagine flavored chalk tasting to great...thanks for the wisdom guys

I have. The drink is kind of gross but pooping white balls a day or two later is kind of novel.
