sniff, sniff...

I need a Kleenex because I'm all ferklempt at the moment. I was just reading the cards from my going away party for my internship. I work at a nursing home for my internship and have been there for 2 years now. So, even though I never want to be a nursing home social worker and most days my internship was pretty boring.....I'm going to miss a whole lot of the residents and a bunch of the staff.

On the up side, I will enjoy being able to sleep in, wear Threadless instead of "work" clothes, and not have to give mental status exams to people with dementia. Plus, I get to go home from college on Sat.

Yikes, I think I'm seriously pms-ing. Guess the only solution to that is to quickly buy a couple of shirts!!

Nice i love my job im the boss so i wear threadless shirts all the time and no one can say anything

I really should have been allowed to wear Threadless since the residents I worked with all had severe dementia. They certainly didn't care or notice if I wore suitable work clothes. However, my colleagues would have bitched.

I used to wear them on the weekends when I went in. Regular staff wasn't there and it was a lot more casual. The main issue up until now is that it was so damn cold in the building. It's 80 degrees here now and I still wear sweaters when I'm inside and I'm finally comfortable. If I'd worn a tshirt by itself I probably would have frozen...

That clip was pretty cool. Maybe that's the kind of social worker I'll be....the kind that sets up shop in the middle of the street and supplies real Kleenex brand kleenexes.

It was so sad leaving today! I held it together until I left and then I bawled because one of my favorite residents was actively dying when I left.
