I agree that the family setting ends up making a statement about the typical American nuclear family (as in, Dad's creative potential is stifled by his responibilities to less inteligent Mom and kids) instead of about society as a whole. And shouldn't lightbulb man be trying to express his creativity rather than looking bored?
