East Coast Meets West....This is our story...
TheUrbanRaptor posted a blog asking for suggestions for tshirt design submissions in early December. Seeing as how I have a minor obsession with those vain and spectacularly foliaged birds, I suggested he create a peacock. The next day he had designed the most splendid peacock design I had ever laid eyes on. Amidst the blogs we started talking about random things...my art, ideas, life. He asked me for my email address, I gave it. We started emailing back and forth for a few days. I would wake up in the morning to find "Have an amazing day Peacock77" in my inbox. Shortly thereafter, we started talking on AIM. Because I am in New York City and he is in San Diego, there is a 3 hour time difference. Neither of us have really slept well for 3 months. We found that we were talking on AIM for 5 and 6 hours a day. I was no longer sleeping and still don't. We first talked on the phone on Christmas Eve at 10 PM. He was as amazing, witty and funny as he had been online. I was enrapt. For Christmas he made me 2 t shirts, one with the image of a splendid peacock gracing the front of it. As things progressed, and we admitted our deep and strange connection to each other, we decided that we must meet in person. The entire span of the country separated us, but I decided I needed to understand this amazing thing that was engulfing us and giving me constant butterflies. I flew to San Diego. It was love at first sight. There wasn't a moment of awkwardness...it felt completely natural when he took me in his arms. The rest of the weekend is history and was spectacular and romantic beyond a girl's dreams... And now here we are. Addicted.
