The design is ok...but why would threadless print something with such a low rating? I think the rating might be higher if the designer changed the colors a little

Agreed. I love the design, but it would look better with some colors that didn't...clash so wonderfully. At least, bland colors that clash wonderfully.

because this was part of the submarines competition

the submarines pick the winner, not the threadlessians (although i think there is some influence...)

Yeah, the Submarines picked this, but even so, score doesn't relate directly to printability. The scoring system only filters out designs so Threadless doesn't have to look at all of them.



The stock chart shows that the score doesn't matter for the people buying it either.

designs as low as 1.7 (the lowest I'm aware of) have been printed... If what was printed was based solely on score I think the line up of threadless shirts would be very sad indeed.

Since when did brown & teal CLASH? Maybe your monitors or eyeballs are not calibrated. The colors are just fine.

I'm with Ryan on this one.



When a good Pee Wee Herman reference gets a 1.9 and a cliche sex joke scores in the 2s, some other factors are involved in the final printing decision.
