The shoes are 4inch heels and I'm 5'8, and the skirt I thought might prettify some of my tshirts.
They'd all be bought online so I don't know about the fit (although I've bought dresses from there that fit well, and I can always return them)
Thoughts?

I would wear them.

Yeah.

and 36 E's for a Dress is a steal!

I wish I could pay 36 E's for a dress!

sirensrising on Mar 21 '08 at 9:15pm
Nooo it's only a skirt! Although I have bought dresses for €36. They're my favourite thing to wear, apparently I have over 25 :o

For some reason it has only occured to me that when I wear heels I am significantly taller, and if I wear 4-inchers I will actually be 6ft tall.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggghhhhh
iPear
iPear on Mar 21 '08 at 9:17pm
that's how tall I am.
sirensrising
sirensrising on Mar 21 '08 at 9:20pm
Yes but I'm a girl and I'm uncomfortable being that tall. It's nice for guys.

I know, I know, feminism etc...
sirensrising
sirensrising on Mar 21 '08 at 9:46pm
Bump, because I need Threadless's approval/disapproval before considering purchases.
iPear
iPear on Mar 21 '08 at 9:48pm
I'm actually 5 8.

...

5 8?

5'8".

I'm 5 foot 8 inches, not 58 years old.

Being a tall girl is cool, all the guys will want to make out.

flourpower on Mar 21 '08 at 9:54pm
Yeah, I have the same problem with shoes. Except I'm 6' if I wear 2 inch heels. I have horribly flat feet, though, so I wouldn't wear high high heels anyway. But I've started wearing a pair of 2" dansko clogs lately, and it actually is sort of cool to be that tall.

I like the yellow ones, but I'm not crazy about that shoe in that color. And the slingbacks look kind of uncomfortable, but they're otherwise cute. I'm not crazy about the skirt, though... it seems rather expensive for a fairly basic cotton(?) miniskirt.

36 € is expensive. but this skirt is so very beautiful, can't stop looking at it!

I like the red shoes, but I like red shoes, even though I can't wear them cause then everyone thinks I'm a Blood.

You're lucky to be tall. I'm 5'4. I love my platform shoes.
jasper7777
jasper7777 on Mar 21 '08 at 10:06pm
the shoes seem to dressy for the skirt and a tshirt to me-
my two cents.

I think we might have really different tastes-- but
I would never wear bright yellow shoes with a black dress
it would be to flashy.

sirensrising on Mar 21 '08 at 10:06pm
€36 doesn't seem that expensive to me but I should mention I'm in Ireland which is incredibly, ridiculously expensive :/

Thanks for the input! :)

I adore both of those pairs of shoes! I absolutely love wearing heels and feeling super tall (I'm only 5'6" but I'm considered freakishly tall compared to all the girls here).

That skirt IS kind of expensive, but very very cute :D
sirensrising
sirensrising on Mar 21 '08 at 10:12pm
Yeah, really I just want red shoes! And yellow shoes, mm yellow.

Jasper, I wouldn't wear them together, the shoes would be for going out and the skirt would be for everyday :)
I've wanted yellow shoes for ages, they're just so fun!
flourpower
flourpower on Mar 21 '08 at 10:34pm
Woah, I just realized that I used "I'm not crazy about..." twice in a row up there. Ick.

The skirt is definitely cute; I'm just used to paying like $20 for mine here.

You're from Ireland? Where? My sister studied in Belfast last spring semester and she just went back to visit last week. I visited Ireland when I was 10 and I want to go back!

3 things:

1.) tall girls are HOT.
2.) The shoes look a bit clunky. I don't really dig them.
3.) The skirt is pretty though.

Where are those shoes from? I really love the yellow ones, and I want some!
squatterjohn
squatterjohn on Mar 22 '08 at 9:21am
I think the bows on the yellow ones are kinda tacky. Also yellow is a weird colour for shoes. I like the red ones.

Also, I saw an Italian girl once with a skirt like that, except it had a bubble hem which you wouldn't think is the most flattering thing because she had really chunky thighs, but she still looked really good and is probably the most beautiful girl I have ever seen ever.

Also, the shoes seem insanely cheap while the skirt seems insanely expensive.

Also, Belfast isn't in Ireland.
sirensrising
sirensrising on Mar 22 '08 at 9:28am
I really love the idea of yellow shoes, although I'm not entirely mad about the bows myself. But they're on sale and they're the only yellow shoes I've ever seen, so...
Italian people are always beautiful, it's in their blood!
Belfast is in Northern Ireland, not the Republic, but it's still on the island of Ireland I guess (and I say that with no political agenda or anything, just that I think that's why some people might say it's in Ireland).

Noodlegirl, they're from asos.com, everything is :)
squatterjohn
squatterjohn on Mar 22 '08 at 9:37am
Yes, true. It is on the island of Irleand. But you can't pay for stuff in Euros there (although I have a friend from near Belfast who says Irish towns near the border take pounds, so who knows.)

Get the red shoes!
I'm not a big fan of the skirt, but I reckon you could look good in it.

Thanks Hel! :D

Oh god I am so bad with money, DAMN YOU INTERNET SHOPPING. Now I also want two pairs of Harry Potter earrings (crocheted radishes and beaded snitches) and an Abraham Lincoln necklace from Etsy.
flourpower
flourpower on Mar 22 '08 at 11:39am
I know Belfast isn't really in Ireland. (Though I didn't really say it was...)

When I visited, we stayed in Athlone and went to Galway, Forest Park, and Glendalough, which was absolutely gorgeous. It looks like we stayed more central/North than where you are, though.
sirensrising
sirensrising on Mar 22 '08 at 12:24pm
Yeah, you did, although I've heard Galway is lovely!
It's funny, when you live here you start to think god Ireland's so boring etc etc but it's really not, it's actually very lovely :) not to mention the language and the culture.

On a shopping related note I did actually buy the Abe Lincoln necklace, radish earrings, and Snitch earrings. And now I really, REALLY have to go to the bank and lock the remains of my birthday money away (but it's so pretty, mmm commercialism)

You're welcome. And bahahaha, I know the feeling. I am spending retardo-money on eBay at the moment. BUT IT'S SUCH FUN AND I GOT PIRATE BOOTS FOR £15 THAT WERE WORTH £145.

I love your radishes! Wear them with the red shoes. :D

I haven't seen you on MSN in aaaaaaages; how are you doing?

I like the yellow shoes and the floral skirt.

Im not that keen on the red shoes.. but that's my taste.

Internet shopping is so great, isn't it? It never feels like you're spending real money! :D

Yeah, I don't really use MSN anymore. I'm in a crappy exam year and I broke up with my boyfriend, but other than that I'm good, and looking forward to college! How have you been?

I love the yellow shoes... Don't really like the skirt, especially not for the price, but if it's your thing, go for it.

WarDrobeInSpareOom on Mar 22 '08 at 8:05pm
Hahahaha....if I wore four inch heels I'd be 5'5".

Those yellow ones are snazzy, and I want that Abe Lincoln necklace.

I think I'm probably going to try and look for a cheaper version of the skirt in a shop near me :)
Vindemiatrix
Vindemiatrix on Mar 22 '08 at 8:07pm
Especially when it's in dollars. ;)

Aw, shit. I'm really sorry to hear that. :( *hugs* Glad the rest of your life's cool. Where are you going to college? I'm good - currently dying of menstrual cramps, but I'm now a qualified language teacher and I got into all my universities except Cambridge, so will probably go to London. :)
sirensrising
sirensrising on Mar 22 '08 at 8:14pm
I know! It's like Monopoly, Economic Recession edition.

Thanks, I appreciate it :) We broke up in November, so it's mostly okay now although it still kind of sucks sometimes. We don't talk at all anymore and haven't seen each other since, although my future college is his college so it's probably inevitable in the future, but alas, alas, all will be fine when I'm happily studying Art History, English, Latin and Italian! I'm sure I'll be rolling in babes ;) You should make a hot water bottle and a cup of Horlicks! I don't think Horlicks actually helps but it is very nice. Congratulations, that's fantastic! :D Which languages?
Vindemiatrix
Vindemiatrix on Mar 23 '08 at 6:14am
(Typed this last night but then I got disconnected from the net...)

Hopefully the babes will prove a strong enough distraction, then ;) Sounds like a good set of subjects!
Hot water bottle and hot drinks proved very handy earlier, actually - I was breaking down and crying from the pain. Urgh. :/ But with the help of aforementioned hot things (and my superhumanly sympathetic boyfriend) I pulled it together enough to go and see my brother in the college play. So that was good.
English, to foreign students. :) Am hopefully going to work in a language school over the summer!
Dunno if I've asked this before, but are you on TSR?
