The new fad is saying that if you win, the shirt money will go to some unknown charity or organization?

Something tells me it's going to a charity located in their own pocket.

I guess I'm cold hearted cause I didn't score either of them really well. Now if it's an awesome design and you give the money to a charity, good for you I might even throw in an extra fiver for prosperity sake... but come on.

I didn't score either of them highly, not only because they weren't delicious, but also because of the, uhm, potentially unsavoury 'charity' crap. I don't think Threadless is quite so stupid as to believe these chaps right off, but it bothers me nonetheless.

What's next? Our Nigerian uncle will be offering us $50 million for our SSN and $5 on his design?

On eBay, they had a real problem with this. Auctions were running saying if you bid a portion was going to blah blah charity (anything 9-11 was a fave).

Finally anything with the keyword charity/charitable got bounced and only auctions registered through the eBay charity system could continue. Double edge sword, of course eBay then took their cut. BUT it meant no more fly by night sudden charities.

I was wondering about those.. recently there seem to have been a lot. And the ones I've seen have been pretty lousy designs.
