Was the original submission on gold? The color in the picture looks so mustardy.

Oh well, the illustration is still kickass. Thanks for bringing it into my life, Chris Moran. :D

It's kind of a weird print for early JANUARY, but oh well...

Thanks :) Yeh, I was a litle surprised at the Gold too. I originally envisioned it on Natural, but oh well. I think it still works. I agree on the timing of it. I sent them the files way back when and I thought it would be out in fall, but hey whatta ya gonna do about it?

I'm not wild about the gold, but I'm still in love with the design. Great job again-- maybe if I pick one up now, it'll make me feel warm until summer...

POOP! Poop poop poop!! I loooove this design. I loved the colours! I just got my notification email letting me know it was printed and I was so excited and going to immediately buy it and... I hate gold. Waaaaaah! Why, threadless, why? :(

[through quiet sobs:]

Congratulations though, Chris.

*sniff* Dammit they'd better reprint on Creme.

I also prefer the original nipple-threatening placement.

The outline seems far too dark as well, particularly in the product pic.

In fact, the design looks way more distressed and delicate in the digital preview than on the product shot.

Argh how unfortunate :( I love this design so much but also wish it was on natural and across the chest like in the original submission.

I think it looks great on gold... I only have one gold tee so far but seven natural/creme ones. Yey for colors!

Whenever Iget gold shirts the design always looks amazing on it. For example the mappy/apy one and figure 02 or 08 or whatever it was.

Personally, I'm a little bummed it wasn't on Natural. It's always kind of hard to tell what the colors actually look like until you get the shirt. Usually the guys at Threadless have good enough taste to trust them to make good decisions. I hope it looks ok on Gold.

I guess I feel like the concept isn't as strong. The autumn colors don't really stand out as much anymore...oh well.

that was my prob as well lorem...the color and contrast on natural were perfect in my never-humble opinion, and while i love gold shirts, this is not thedesign for sucha delicate and incredible design. I'm still on the fence about purchasing this now when i woulda normally gobbled this design up instantly, but odds are im still gonna buy it...but im not as happy about this as i should be dangit! Great job nontheless, Chris!

Chris,

Sorry your not too keen on the colors dude. We changed it up last minute (I usually try and get artist feedback when we do this because it is their art) because with the original colors it had a very similar feel to tom burn's 1975 design. I tried to keep its autumnish feel with the gold. I personally like the gold.

I promise when it is reprinted i'll push for it on natural.

Oh and awesome design!

Hey man, it's no problem :) I think it's still cool. I'm not upset about it or anything. I wondered if that was the reason it was changed.

Don't worry about it Ross! Thanks for the feedback, as always I appreciate it :)

When 1975 was printed I feared that the similar colour scheme might preclude the immediate printing of Summer's Passing. However, I bought 1975 in an instant because I loved the colours, just as I loved them in Summer's Passing. If the original design of Summer's Passing had been printed on the same day I would have bought it at the same time without hesitation and worn each of them on alternate days.
