Rudeness & STP's

My first blog, and a two parter.

First, why do some people find it necessary to be so rude when commenting on subs? I don't see how "Ehhh", "I wouldn't wear this", "Fail" or "This sucks" helps the artist know what people don't care for and how they can improve.

I'm just sayin'.

I've been on this site for a while... scoring subs and buying stuff. I was not aware of the whole STP thing. I feel like an idiot, as I'm super nice and would be more than happy to share some STP love. So, tomorrow will be my first STP giving day. I don't personally know anyone on here, so I think I'll just pick a random person who seems nice and deserving. Any suggestions? =)

Yeah I don't make designs but I'm 100% sure that the artists don't like it when people say stupid shit like that. And I am a perfect candidate for that STP thing...did I mention you are beautiful.

I guess people who point out that they wouldn't wear it should explain why. However people who just insult the competitor just sucks themselves.

I'm fairly new here and I think the best way to find out who's nice and who's not is just go around the forum :)

people tend to be rude sometimes, but on the blogs it seems to happen less because there is more nice people than rude ;)

TheDanetrain posts in every single 'who wants stp' blogs, so I think Naty is a better candidate.

I'd suggest someone who recently signed up for the site.

I'll be buying at least one shirt for sure on day 30, maybe 2; and maybe more depending on what's printed these last two days. It'll also be my first STP'ing so might as well trade, right?

Oh, and about the rude people. I don't submit designs either, but love looking at other's work. I wish people would stop and think "if someone said that to me, how would that make me feel?" Maybe there would be more nice and helpful comments. ::shrug::

i have been wanting to win something big for a long time, i dont really want to win stps, i wanna win a good job or something like that, for instance i went on this contest with that bus i was making, i worked my ass off and i didnt even get a mention...sucks ass...and the winner of that contest had barely a label on a carboard box, while i made the graphics o the entire box..im trully not worried about stps haha..i jsut wanna get some work out there and its sucking ass right now..

k that was my rant for the nigth :P

I agree with the posting unkind things, its just not right to help the artists. This is a community for people to grow and showcase their work. Not everyone is going to like anything, but thats no reason to trash it.

Tracerbullet. This is why I sometimes hate the internet. I can't tell if you are joking or being serious. In either case, my hair isn't blue. It's the lighting effect Anna, the photographer, used. But it does kinda look cool huh. Maybe I should... hehe.

I should elaborate. Anna is a friend, who is an amazing photographer. We were at a concert, and since I hate my pic being taken, she was sneaky deaky and snapped one... and I ended up actually liking it. She's fabulous.

People in the forums are generally friendly and open (except for those jerks). Though if they hear the word 'STP' there are more responses to get the attention of the person who is giving it away.

And about your friend Anna...when I was scheming through the msgs I thought it was me. (My name is Anna too)

Yeah, I noticed that the forums are much more friendly and laid back than the sub comments, for the most part. Although, there was a blog about music suggestions, and I got flamed for a suggestion I made. Ah well. I didn't lose any sleep over it.

Speaking of blue hair, my mum won't let me dye it because one) I go to a Catholic college and two) it's a 'rebellious' gesture three) because my mum thinks I'm going to turn into an Asian gangster because of it...in 3 years time I'll be able to get my dream hair! :( I probably won't want it though...

i didnt know about the whole stp thing for a long time either. ive decided that from now on im going to give mine to someone who is having a birthday on the day that im buying. a little bday present, of sorts. maybe someone will be nice and give me stp on my bday! :)

these people are jerks and are just posting pretendly nice things to rob you of your points. : D

i am also a native Nebraskan, 5 years in Lincoln, 1 in Omaha, and now I live in New Mexico, which is like the opposite of there, but I'll always be a Husker at heart. : ) There's like no such thing as snow here, and people always ask if I was a corn farmer, which is a common Nebraska cliche', as I'm sure you know. Which city do you live in?

I love the idea of no such thing as snow. I keep threatening to move to AZ. I hate how cold it can get, and snow.

I hear ya on the farmer thing. Anytime I go somewhere they ask if I live on a farm. WTF? Get a clue would ya! LOL
