Threadless

emmaw aka Emma Waldo has been a member since August 12, 2006, has scored 103 submissions, giving an average score of 3.37, helping 7 designs get printed.

I think this design deserves a BIG 5, much $$$, and to be printed, but I think this is the biggest LOVES disappointment since being aware of Threadless.

Though different, I don't think it fulfills the build up of the almighty REVOLUTIONARY 1st place title. Too bad.

Congrats Reilly. No hard feelings I hope, just one opinion. :)

How do you know it won first place? Five Revolution entries were printed this week, and none of them have a winner picture next to them.

if you go to the LOVE's page, it is listed as the winner

i'm guessing it is revolutionary in the way it was printed compared to how they used to do shirts when the competition started

Sorry, my heart was killed. It's got "Loves Selected Tee" on it.

this isnt revolutionary, it looks like a DBH print to me.

...which was totally subbed and printed after this design was made.

i didn't know what this shirt was about until i read "Squeegee Clean".

At first it looked like somebody with a prosthetic arm.

going by the posted dates, this one was subbed after the dbh sub was subbed. everyone here is quick to say dbh copies threadless, it works both ways. people seem to like that design, and people musta liked this design too. two designs that are similar but also very different.

congrats to the artist.

this does NOT look like a dirty window being squeegeed at first, it looks like a pirate hand but no hook

I thought it was some kind of wierd pirate hand at first as well . But maybe plunger hand.

Oh! I see the pirate hand! It took awhile to notice it, but I see what you mean. I love the shirt as well, but I honestly do not know if it deserved winning the "Revolution" loves. I wouldn't know what design would win a contest like that, but this design is really cool looking anyway. I think compared to previous threadless designs, its pretty "revolutionary", but so was "training for a utopia", in my opinion.

frankly shit all of the entries were in any way revolutionary what so ever. I said that then, I said that now, let's move on instead of repeatedly stating the obvious.

IF anything revolutionary were actually done then the votards would nuke it into submission anyway.

I don't think there's any one shirt they could have chosen that most people would call "Revolutionary" - at least, not now that Threadless has done more shirts in the DBH vein (but probably not even before that).

I just browsed through the Revolution subs again and I see why this one stood out - it's very bold and stands in stark contrast to the vast majority of Revolution subs, which were far more complicated.

Btw, is the DBH shirt people referring to this one?:

(Subbed in July '07, printed in May '08)

Or this one?:

(Subbed in Nov '07, printed in Feb '03)

In the future, if no Loves submissions are deserving of the prize, just extend the deadline.

Wow, this shirt totally sucks! I like the design but OMG this looks like one of my old white t-shirts that I use for to wipe off my greasy hands after I work on my car! Very sad. Sending it back today :/
