Disclaimer: In the following rant, I want to make it clear that I am not, by any means, claiming to be the best or even a good designer.

I woke up this morning in a pretty good mood, and thought "hey I'll check out threadless.com". I started scoring designs when I found myself irritated beyond belief.... why are there so many just plain crap designs on this site? We as a community of designers should be ashamed to be categorized in the same group as some of these people. I'm sick of seeing the same design done and re-done a hundred times (please see my other blog). I'm also tired of seeing cheesy phrases turned into literal designs and all the depressing crap sent in by the "oh woe is me" emo kids. I don't want to make the same speech your mom used to make about there being starving children in China, but seriously what is the fascination with acting like your life is so horrible and you have to express it through the form of a shirt? Please, I beg of you.... Designers of the world, Unite to overpower this reign of oppression that is horrible art! Unite to oppress the oppressors! Unite to bring true art back to the public! Unite to make threadless a place of prestige! Unite for creativity!

Im sorry i score so many designs low...... but im just so tired of seeing the same design reworked. i used to work at a screen print shop, and i have printed hundreds of hearts, organs, scratchy faces, and skeletons. please people... do something original and ill be nice!
