I miss school...well i miss my students... they are back to school but I'm not giving classes anymore. :(

There's no reason for me to go to grad school yet because I don't know what I'd go for. Therefore, I'd just be wasting money if I went now. Money that I really don't have.

I can think of a few things I might want to study. I'd been considering seminary school, or grad school to study literature. I'm just undecided... that's what my major should have been, lol - undeclared.

I student taught this last Fall, but I haven't gotten a full time job yet. I'm still not 100% sure yet.

Ohh yeah. I know in most of Canada at least, it's hard for new elementary teachers to find full time work....my sister spent about 5 years filling in for mat leaves before she got permanent placement.



Today I learned some alarming stats, apparently 25% of people with a B.Ed will never teach, of that remaining 75%, only half will continue to teach beyond 5 years. Past that point though, career longevity skyrockets.



So yeah, I think for teachers those first 5 years are toughest.

well, look at it this way - once you start working, it never stops (at least not until retirement).
