Fruit of the Loom is sweatshopped. American Apparel is sweatshop free. No where in the private label tee thread does threadless make the statement that these tees are sweatshop free and if they are made in America. Can threadless please reply to this.

As long as the CEO doesn't stroke his dick in front of his female employees, I don't care if the shirts are made by babylabour.

but I don't think threadless would consider moving to a sweatshop brand or having their own tees produced in that way.

So you're worried more about one mans penis being shown inappropriately than you are the welfare of thousands of children.

How noble.

Fruit of the loom is made in sweatshops. I, at first, assumed the Threadless Private label tees are sweatshop free. But if so, why wouldn't threadless mention this? They left it out all together. We all probably had initial assumptions, well, those who thought about it, but i'm looking for an official statement from threadless.

Shit, do you know of a sweatshop that employs thousands of children? Where? That sounds lucrative -- I'd want to invest in that!

Just a little food for thought...

"So you're worried more about one mans penis being shown inappropriately than you are the welfare of thousands of children."

The effects of sweatshops on the community is a tough call. The contract between owner and laborer, no matter how one-sided, is a consensual agreement either can terminate by quitting or firing. Thing is, people work there only because it is the best available option.

To test this, a UNICEF study followed Nepalese children dismissed from their factory following a US ban on child-labor goods. It found that the kids resorted to "stone-crushing, street hustling, and prostitution" and jobs worse than their factory jobs in the first place.

threadless is a fucking corporation asswipe, you think this whole "community" thing is anything but a mass Values and Lifestyles

marketing program. Anyone who wears this stuff is an idiot.
