Yeah, that's what's happening with me...haha, and I'm friends with all the 'emo-indie-scene-kids' so I get to see it first hand. But anyone who looks counter-culture is considered 'emo' at my school.



Even the security guards call-out the emo-kids...i.e.: You eat in the hall way because you want me to come over, and you want my attention and because you are depressed.

yeah, it definetly looks like emo is turning into indie/scene. a whole bunch of my friends in highschool were emo, but then i dissapeared and when i came back they wore clothes that were, like, not black.



the only friends of mine that are still "emo" are the ones who are actuall emotional and depressed and don't care about "looking" emo.

Nowadays there are these weird emo/goth hybrids - kids who consider themselves emo but look like Davey from AFI.

Both the true and the fake 'emo' kids get shit. Perhaps the fake more than the real 'emo' kids. The difference betwixt them makes the fake one's easier to spot. 'Real' emo aren't so different from the majourity of people.

I haven't really been exposed to what you're talking about but I suppose it is because I'm lucky enough to go to a school where everyone was friends with each other at some point. Thusly most cliques and stereotypical barriers are broken.

I understand. There are times when some of the greatest people I know are labeled, ostrasised and sometimes hurt because of various different labels people put on them. It's just living.
