Customs Troubles
I was really excited to receive my latest threadless order this weekend which included my first threadless hoody, which is awesome. I was less pleased when I was told I had to pay a customs charge, which I have never had to do before when ordering from threadless.

I find this odd as it wasn't even my most expensive order to date. Has anyone else had this problem when ordering to the UK?

Maybe. It definitely sucks, I had to pay almost 9 quid for that delivery! That made the STPs I spent on that order worthless.

Also I was hungover when the postman delivered it so I didn't have the cognitive capacity to argue with him at the time.

i'm here in austria and i just received my first order and i had to pay 50€ tax/custom charges, whatever you call them in english!

that's half of what i've paid for the whole order!!

plus, i usually don't have to pay any customs when receiving stuff from the us...

I know! It's crazy. Maybe they're clamping down on imports because the US economy isn't doing very well.

Yeah, when they ship over the US border to Canada...US customs check it over and slap a charge on it. What I find really gross is that they hit you up for a $5.00 "customs handling" fee -- what they charge for the nuisance and trouble of having to look at it.

US customs check it going into Canada? Surely they should leave it to the Canadian authorities. Damn control freaks!

I think their general rule is that they check anything over $15-$20 dollars. I'm sure that Canada customs does the same thing but my last package had the US border stamp on it.

I don't think anything I've ordered from the US has had a US customs stamp on it but I might be wrong.
