hey it might be possible, i remember toying with this idea in the past. eskimo might remember

Get your massive design, split it up into 4 screens/sections that touch to form a square, and maybe change the colours or something. It should be possible as each colour needs a seperate screen, and so you still keep the original size required but you now have 4 screens that make up a larger graphic.

It would be trés cool!!! to create a graphic like that.

Who is with me to attempt this?

Even if it gets shot down I think its worth trying something new process wise on threadless.

Try aligning all the screens perfectly.

ps they already kind of do that for sleeves etc., just not aligned.
