photoshop question


i can do that in paint, so i'm sure there's a way to do it in photoshop, i just don't know how. and it's frustrating.

whenever i try to fill a shape with color, it fills the whole layer. but i don't want it to do that.

use the marquee tools or just do it in illustrator

Select the pen tool. Then right click the shape and click Fill Path

or, load the path as a selection and fill with the paint bucket.
