It's a blog forum I believe because it stays in your profile after you post.

...even if it stayed in your profile, posts you make on regular blogs stay on your blog long after you've post them; I don't understand why that makes a difference here.

Well, mostly because I didn't do enough investigation due to being new to having an actual account that I do anything but score submissions with. I decided to post a blog because I thought it would be a BLOG, not a forum post, and made a bit of an idiot of myself. Belonging to a few forums, I really can't stand forum idiots and noobs, and I wouldn't have posted at all had i known this wasn't a real blog.

A weblog, which is usually shortened to blog, is a type of website where entries are made (such as in a journal or diary), displayed in a reverse chronological order.

An Internet forum is a facility on the World Wide Web for holding discussions, or the web application software used to provide the facility. Web-based forums, which date from around 1995, perform a similar function as the dial-up bulletin boards and Internet newsgroups that were numerous in the 1980s and 1990s. A sense of virtual community often develops around forums that have regular users. Technology, computer games, and politics are popular areas for forum themes, but there are forums for a huge number of different topics [1].

I also use christ's name in vain all the time without really giving a crap, yes, I'm a horrible sinner and I'm going straight to hell.

And if there's a pro-god tattoo, I find that hilarious since tattoos are considered an abomination in the bible.

I'm not trashing it, I just think it's kind of funny if you're going to be adamant enough to get all bothered when people do something as simple as taking the lord's name in vain yet think it's perfectly fine to get ink stabbed into your pores. But let's not turn this into a religious battle. As mindtrance defined, the terms are clearly misused and if they'd just say it was a forum I think it would be easier for new users to avoid doing stupid and annoying crap.
