im probably gonna fail at life.

i just got my SAT scores back....
i only got a 1500
and i need at least a 1650 to get into Parsons.
i hope i can up it a lot when i take it again in march.
and i hope my portfolio is good enough.
i dont wanna fail at life. =[

i really want to get in. im probably gonna take the SATs like four times this year.

Wait a minute. I thought the maximum score on SAT's was 1600? Cause I'm thinking about this and I got 1500 on mine and that was psychotically well. Isn't it a max of 800 verbal and 800 math?

yes but theres an essay now

so its out of 2400.

but my 1500 is better than i did the first time.

so hopefully my scores keep going up.

i think it's because many art schools accept some type of funding and in return, they have to pretend that it's a "learning facility" and not just a art class.

that was the deal with the post production school i went to .

I got the same grade on my SATs and thought I'd never get into any college. But surprisingly, all the colleges I applied to accepted me. SATs aren't their main focus. You can make up your bad scores with your GPA too. I think that's what got me in.

yea. i like the essay though cause im better at writing than at math so the essay really helps. i just am really horrible at math. o well. ill just take it again in march and hopefully do better.

and parsons is the top design school in the country ive wanted to go there since i was 13. that is where im gonna go.

don't take it more than twice. Some people end up doing worse. I like the essay too. I got a 10/12 on it. I'm terrible in math so the essay helped bring my grade up

yeah i took it before they had the essay part and i got like a 1200.

the math is so easy though! its only like algebra and geometry.

STUDY! Get these two books:

1. The Offical SAT Study Guide by the College Board (It's the big blue one)

2. Gruber's New SAT

They helped me achieve my somewhat decent score.

Taking it a lot to get used to it is the wrong method. The books I just recommended to you have practice tests. The Offical SAT Study Guide has 8 Practice tests. They are exactly like the real SAT, because it's published by the College Board--the same people who put out the SAT.

I got this software for my comp called Kaplan. They had practice tests and questions that was just like the SAT

let me rephrase that. i did horrible, but i still got into a good school and ended up graduating in three and a half years when it should have taken me four and a half.

ramapo college of new jersey. you probably will not know it unless you live in new jersey. it is a relatively small school.
