about Selfless

Being selfless goes along with being humble. And it is definately not humble to post that you are selfless on the front of your shirt. Am I missing the point?

The point is that people are freakin' stupid.

Spread the word.

I don't think you understand the shirt. The point is that by wearing this shirt, you give up your right to be one's self. It's actually a philosophical shirt, not a red cross shirt.

^But if you were wearing it, you'd inevitable get tons of comments, "Selfless? How are you selfless?" or "Hey if you're so selfless lend me a tenski."

And I just couldn't deal with that. To me the shirt looks like a big billboard, "I am selfless," and that's how most people are gonna see it.

The real selfless thing to do is not buy this shirt but donate that money to some worthy charity.

"The real selfless thing to do is not buy this shirt but donate that money to some worthy charity."

That's what I thought when I saw this shirt. It's nifty looking, but I don't think I could wear a shirt that declared my selflessness to the world when I knew that it cost me 25 frickin' dollars and I already have a closet full of clothes. True selflessness, the kind that warrants advertisement of this sort, would require me to spend that money on someone other than myself, who probably needs it more than I do...

So does that mean you're gonna buy me tickets to see Tool next time they tour? Thanks, babe :-)

Let's all do the most selfless thing of all and vote on my two new slogans.

No man, that means I'm clearly not selfless (since I do spend 25 frickin' dollars on shirts on a regular basis when there are people out there who could use it more than me) so I'm not going to wear a shirt that advertises my selflessness. Because it would be lying. :P

BUT I DID GET TICKETS TO SEE TOOL IN TORONTO!!! BARALAGARARRRGHH SO EXCITED!!!

I read it...I guess that might be a possibility. Except it's not blatant enough to understand very easily.

why do people read so deep into this shirt? What u wear on a shirt doesnt always have to reflect you as a person, sometimes it can be something to strive to, and why care about what others will think of you? then ure probably just insecure.

"It's nifty looking, but I don't think I could wear a shirt that declared my selflessness to the world" - what? are you like 15 ft tall giant? That everyone cant help but notice what ure wearing on youre tee? Are you the president of a country where the whole world or even a significant number of the population see u everyday? probably not.

seriously...wearing this shirt is not so much an advertisement as it is a STATEMENT. we should all be a bit more selfLESS.

and even if it doesn't mean that to you...it means that to me. so it's mine.

the end.
