ugh. work. so i finally have some down time at my job. down time meaning that I don't have a MAJOR catalog deadline to meet but i have about 20 product clipping paths to do and probably 40 or so more to come.
talk about the hum drum part of graphic design.
click click click.

instead of doing what i should have been doing i spent most of my time at work designing a submission for the dni contest. doh! i hope no one at my job is on this site. i doubt most of the employees are cool enough to be on here anyways... except "DP".

anywho... i'm bored. i hate clipping paths. thought i would share. blah blah. not that you all give a rats ass. but hey neither do i.

Yes, clipping paths are like the worst thing you can do in any designing job... Thanks for the compliment on the Star Wars Shirt, It`s the first of a few ideas I have!!! And don`t worry about star wars fans. They`re crazy anyhow. They almost killed me just `cause I drew the wrong spacecraft model on the T-Shirt... Damn.

But thanks!!!

yes clipping paths suck. big time. i do photography for a catalog and also design it. so i do some of the clipping paths. god i miss real design! thank god for threadless.
this is the only thing that has motivated me lately to do graphic design outside of my full time job.

sounds like my job. Especially since before I came here, they didn't know how to DO clipping paths. Can you imagine actually using the background eraser tool for this long....

So I get everything to clip, because, "I do it faster", yeah I do it faster, I worked for a sports publication and had to clip entire football teams out, you get used to it...

i had a whole fuckin class on clipping paths. i'm like what the hell am i gonna use this for. little did i know. it came to haunt me.
the clicking haunts me in my sleep
i wonder how many times a day we click the mouse.
i tried counting once... lost track at um 20 yah.
pretty bad, i have the attention span of an ant.

is there anything worse than clipping paths really?

*thinks*

What kind of backgrounds are they on? You can always try and cheat with the Free Selection tool then convert it to a path...sometimes it comes out really raggy though.
