Threadless

Wonko_The_Sane aka John Vanderpool is a 32.23 year old boy, has been a member since July 15, 2006, has scored 742 submissions, giving an average score of 1.14, helping 5 designs get printed.
I joined Threadless because I like intelligent, well-designed shirts that make you think and are a tad humurous. This shirt is a disgrace to the Threadless name and I am shocked that it got printed above other very good designs.

Maybe some threadless high-ups have some pull with the shirts they like, so even if it's poorly scored, they can give it the go ahead.

Conspiracy?

And here I thought it was all based upon the score and the amount of "I'd Buy It"'s.

Silly me.

i dint like it, but i dont diss it either, you should let other people like and choose freely what they want..
j.digory
j.digory on Oct 11 '06 at 7:24pm
They _can_ like and choose it freely. Stating a negative opinion about a shirt doesn't mean someone else cannot like it or buy it. If I liked it, I wouldn't give a flying **** what anyone else thought.

If I liked it.

this shirt was obviously a joke or a teh result of losing a bet.

it's neither a decent design, nor funny nor wearable.

threadless makes bad decisions too from time to time

Wonko_The_Sane, aren't you just a ray of sunshine? I really am glad that you blessed the people of Threadless with your opinion. Maybe you can keep it to yourself next time.

I dont understand why people feel so strongly about this shirt... there are much worse ones to bitch about. But bitching about a printed shirt is prety much a waste of internet.
shirtflirt
shirtflirt on Oct 11 '06 at 8:46pm
there is no way to waste a useless resource like the intertube.

and opinions stink, that's why we all flash them.

kayloster, i understand you took a long time to write up that declaration and you make great points.

and, rules were meant to broken.

guidelines, to be ignored....

i haven't really seen an all out personal attack on a designer for their shirt getting printed, rather, just a collection of bemused and befuddled wanna be consumers.

I like the badges, in fact it's not bad at all. But I wont buy it because it's not my thing. I still bet it sells out before smooth criminal - what a glorious success that was

smooth criminal can be worn anytime whilst this shirt looks RIDICULOUS after october 31 and before oct 1.

ok i'm done with this shirt now.

scoring a shirt low is different than ranting about it!
shirtflirt
shirtflirt on Oct 11 '06 at 9:22pm
scoring a shirt low

having that shirt score low

and it still getting printed reduces the importance of scoring.

sonmi

i agree, scoring can be irrelevant (i don't know what the mummy one scored). many of my favorite designs score low, and i'm glad they supercede a fate otherwise given by it. i don't know. i wouldn't buy this shirt, but i think it's creative enough, and i hadn't seen it done before (the whole bandages thing). and yeah, i agree that threadless probably printed it in part because of halloween, like they do every year. i just don't understand why get so negative and worked up over a design you don't like! that just means it's not for you.

okay, that's all.

sonmi, i agree.

i tend to think a community can be honest with eachother in order to grow. that, unfortunately saying when you like and dislike a shirt. as i am to shirts i don't like, you can be to blogs you don't like; either walk away and leave tehm or comment.

FYI... Threadless cannot please every single person with every single shirt. There's no point in taking it so personally or thinking that Threadless has committed some kind of atrocity. Some people like this tee, some people don't.... that's how it goes for every design.

you dont own the company.

sure its a community based company, but that doesnt mean everyone gets there way.

just because you want witty tshirts that will make everyone stop in there tracks to stare at you for 10 minutes figuring out your shirt, doesnt mean threadless will bow down your request
