Sad day :/
We had to put down our family dog of 14 years today. He was such a great dog. I'm half-way across the country at school right now, and its so hard to not have been able to be with him.

I know a lot of you have dogs, and you know how awesome they are, and how much it can suck to lose a fuzzy best friend.

I think I'm going to make some tea and try to cheer myself up :/

His name was Chase, he was from the illinois aussie rescue. Half australian shepherd, half bernese mountain dog! :)

We had to put ours of 13 years down the year I went off to college. It's a shame, really.

I know how hard it is, I just had to put down my dog last spring...its never easy, and being there wouldnt have made it any easier...just remember him fondly

that sucks I'm sorry :( but at least he lived for 14 year and you got to enjoy having him and gave him a very good life. He looks like a beautiful dog from that photo of him and those are both breeds that I adore so I'm sure I would have found him a charming pooch too.

Hey I lurk around threadless a lot but i'm getting more into it.

I live in Chicago, IL. I used to live in the fields and farms but moved to suburbia a few months ago and it creeps me out!

I'm finishing up my degree in Marine Sciences at the University of Maine, so thats where I am most of the year. Brr!!
