Crappy start to the holidays :(

As I was driving at 6am for my flight back home to chicago this morning, I was on I-95 and some douche in an SUV pulled into my lane too close and knocked the front of my car, which made me swerve and hit the barrier :( :(

I'm okay but the front end of my car is all smashed and I missed my flight home for the holidays, and now I have to get this car business figured out....and I'm not sure whether I'll be able to get another flight home.

oh no!! that sucks so bad :(

that would make me so sad, especially on the way to catching a flight. i hope there'll be some way you can be on a waiting list for another flight and get back home :(

Yeah it was ironic because I usually drive to and from Maine, but the one time I fly home, I get in an accident on the 10 minute drive to the airport, lol

my holidays haven't really started yet. I'm closing my eyes and covering my ears and singing "I've got plenty of time to get all this done, no pressure, no worries."

Oh! He did stop, it was very obvious that he hit the side of my car pretty hard, and the car behind me also got smashed trying (unsuccessfully) to avoid the accident.

He claims he didn't see me, yadda yadda. I told him that maybe if he got a normal sized car and a normal sized ego, he wouldn't have been on his phone blabbing away and hitting cars.

I felt bad because it was like a big accident thing and it blocked traffic once rush hour started :/

I drive a tiny little nissan versa too, so it was like a bear running into a chipmunk.

Oh no!!! I know this is the cheesiest thing to say- but at least you are safe and unhurt! thats pretty awesome for highway driving!

Tess- Yeah I know what you mean! It was a miracle I wasn't hurt seeing as we were both going about 70MPH

Although I gotta admit my boobs are killing me from the airbag deploying, lol! ouch.

Hey I lurk around threadless a lot but i'm getting more into it.

I live in Chicago, IL. I used to live in the fields and farms but moved to suburbia a few months ago and it creeps me out!

I'm finishing up my degree in Marine Sciences at the University of Maine, so thats where I am most of the year. Brr!!
