Taking Courtney to a football game

Any of you fancy coming?

There are a few options, listed below:

20/8 - Chelsea v West Brom (sold out in home stands, can't figure out how to buy on WBA site, so this may be tricky)

21/8 - West Ham v Leeds (could be interesting... Is Courtney any good with her fists? Silly question?)

23/8 - Palace v Crawley (Mid-week Carling cup game, probably not great attendance/shit atmosphere)

27/8 - Palace v Blackpool

27/8 - PORTSMOUTH V CARDIFF

I don't mind which game, so any thoughts...?

West Ham Leeds will have the most aggressive (best) atmosphere. Although I'm up watching Everton the saturday before hand. Last time I was at West ham some fans ran the length of the pitch from the Bobby Moore End down to the away end where we were sitting. They slowed up at the end, though and let themselves get caught by the stewards cos they'd have taken a pasting if they'd ended up in our lot.

Ha! I've only been to West Ham for a week night game and the 500 pompey fans were louder than the home fans. I was a bit disappointed. Maybe we weren't worth the effort?

I agree about the atmosphere, but I haven't looked at how easy it will be to get tickets yet.

Sitting in the Fratton End you usually get a good amount of noise and banter... Not that I am pushing the Pompey game on anyone, it's just Mike does seem interested in the old boat.

FYI - we went to the West Ham v Leeds game. It was a really good game - and an excellent first game for Courtney to attend.

there were no proper fights anywhere in sight. but the game was really good and fun!
